As many of you have noticed this
past year, several improvements have been made to our Bar Room. A new
ceiling has been installed and the new lighting donated by Chris & Julie
Tansey has really made a difference.
Additional changes are in store
this coming year. With General Membership approval, a small committee
has been formed to aid in sprucing up the room with fresh paint, a new
window shade by the TV and new carpeting.
However, much of the Planning
and Maintenance budgets have already been spent on other projects at the
Club and we fall short of funds to purchase carpeting. MYRC Past
Commodore Al Crum, owner of Colonial Carpet & Furniture Cleaners, has
graciously agreed to assist in the purchase and installation of
carpeting with the labor coming from TSC members. When all is said and
done we are looking at a substantial savings!
We would like to have the Club
House looking good for Spring and only through the help of our members
will this be possible!
